Intern Program

The Initiative for Managing Services focuses on co-creating tangible benefits to our member companies to improve their businesses by connecting them in meaningful ways to services research, education and business application. Our multi-disciplinary center works with more than 20 member organizations, and networks with a number of other centers at Fisher, and several across campus in other colleges at Ohio State. We are anxious to present our value proposition, programs and projects, and scholarship opportunities to you.

Each intern gets the opportunity to closely work on an application of the IMS theme for the current academic year, on a topic that best serves the member's organization. Interns work closely with a company Project Manager to set guidelines and research strategies. Ohio State faculty members with expertise required for the particular project are also actively involved in the process in a mentoring role.

Interns will work between 50-70 hours throughout Winter and Spring quarters for the member company and receive a scholarship of at least $2,500.

2012 Programs and Projects

  • Spring Consumer Retail Summit
  • Value Based Pricing for Services (SRII)
  • Workforce Development for Professional Services
  • Customer Experience Management (w/Dr. Jay Kandampully)
